PREMIO PER LA PUBBLICAZIONE DI UN LIBRO D’ARTISTA

Il premio prevede una open call rivolta ad artiste e artisti invitati a condividere le proprie idee e i progetti per la realizzazione di un inedito libro d’artista. Il progetto vincitore sarà selezionato da Federica Boragina e Giulia Brivio - fondatrici di Studio Boite - e dovrà essere realizzato entro gennaio 2025.

La partecipazione al premio è gratuita e riservata ad artiste/i professioniste/i con almeno 1 mostra realizzata nel corso del 2023-2024 (sia personale che collettiva).

Non ci sono restrizioni di età, provenienza, genere, medium utilizzati o tematiche di ricerca.

MODALITÀ DI PARTECIPAZIONE

Ogni richiedente deve inviare la propria domanda in un UNICO documento PDF, denominato con il proprio nome e cognome, contenente:

- curriculum vitae, breve biografia e statment d’artista
- concept del libro d’artista (max 3 cartelle, in italiano o inglese)
- minimo 10 - massimo 30 immagini del progetto (schizzi, disegni, fotografie, mock-up)

Non vengono accettate domande incomplete o non conformi a questi termini e saranno respinte senza valutazione.

Il richiedente conferma di essere l'autore delle opere presentate nella domanda e di essere l'unico proprietario di tutti i diritti di sfruttamento associati a queste opere.

Le domande devono essere inviate a boite@boiteonline.org solo in formato PDF, con dimensioni massime del file di 20 MB (per evitare che i link scadano, non accettiamo file inviati tramite WeTransfer) entro e non oltre le 24.00 del 31 luglio 2024.

Studio Boîte si impegna a realizzare, collaborando in ogni fase di progettazione e produzione e successiva comunicazione, il libro d’artista vincitore del Premio entro gennaio 2025, in una tiratura massima di 200 copie. I diritti resteranno di proprietà dell’autore/autrice che, SOLO in caso di esaurimento delle copie, sarà autorizzata a sue spese a ulteriori ristampe.
L'organizzazione si riserva il diritto, se le circostanze lo richiedono, di sospendere l'assegnazione del finanziamento in qualsiasi momento e per qualsiasi motivo

THE AWARD

Studio Boîte announces the launch of an Open Call for artists to submit ideas on original artists’ books to be realized. The winning project will be selected by Federica Boragina and Giulia Brivio, editors in chief, and will be realized by January 2025.

Submission is free and it addresses artists and professionals who exhibited at least once during 2023-2024 (both collective and personal exhibitions are considered). There are no restrictions on age, origin, gender, media used or research topics.

APPLICATION

Studio Boîte accepts only digital submissions and welcomes only a single PDF document, named with your name and surname. PDF must include:

- CV, short bio and artist’s statement
- artist’s book’s concept (max. 3 standard pages)
- between a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 pictures about the projects (sketches, drawings and pictures are accepted).

Incomplete or non-compliant applications will be rejected without evaluation.

The applicant declares to be the author of all submitted works and to be the sole owner of all rights associated with them.

Images must be sent via email to: boite@boiteonline.org , only as a PDF document, with a maximum file size of 20 MB (in an effort to avoid expiring links, Studio Boîte does not accept WeTransfer files) no later than July 31st, 2024, by12 pm. 

Studio Boîte is committed to realize the winning project by January 2025, sustaining the artist book – printed in a maximum print run of 200 copies – both in every design and production stage and in the following communication. Rights will be reserved to the author, who will be authorized to reprint ONLY if copies run out and at their expense.
If circumstances require, Studio Boîte reserves the right to suspend financing at any time and for any reason.
